Welcome to this weeks NEVER HEARD THAT show.

THIS MORTAL COIL is associated with UK record label 4AD.

4AD boss Ivo Watts-Russell, wanted musicians signed to his label to work with members from the other bands on the label. The idea being to see what would come from them working outside of the confine of their normal bands.

The first THIS MORTAL COIL album called ITLL END IN TEARS is a very impressive dream-pop album.

It also gives fans a chance to hear some high-profile alternative bands from the early 80s playing together in unique combinations.
