NHT009: RICHARD BARBIERI – Light On Glass

Hi,

To a lot of people, the advent of the synthesizer in the late 70s and particularly the early 80s, was considered a blight on modern music.

It was seen as something that took the talent out of the fine art of music making. No matter what your thoughts are on that, I am hoping that you will finds this weeks NEVER HEARD THAT show very interesting.

This person could have a business card imprinted with his career described as sound designer. His name is RICHARD BARBIERI and he really knows how to get the very, very best out of a synthesizer!

Have a listen to this weeks NEVER HEARD THAT.

Cheers, Andrew Muecke

NHT008: COCTEAU TWINS – Iceblink Luck

Hi,

This weeks NEVER HEARD THAT highlights the wonder of the UK band, COCTEAU TWINS.

Another unique and experimental band, they absolutely sound like no one else.

At least in this song, Iceblink Luck the vocals are sung in English, I think.

Enjoy COCTEAU TWINS on NEVER HEARD THAT.

Cheers, Andrew Muecke
