Welcome to this weeks NEVER HEARD THAT.

JON HASSELL, a composer and trumpeter, started playing music in the 1960’s. His last album was released in 2018.

In between he has pioneered music styles – fourth world music is what he called the fusing of advanced electronic instrumentation with world music.

Somehow falling just outside the range of the popular music radar, JON HASSELL is however the definition of a musicians musician.
